Things Different About Me
A running list. Last added: September 2026.
- I am overly confident walking into rooms, and nobody usually questions me.
- For fun, as a kid, I studied economics, business, law, psychology, behavioral psychology and body language. I also read books on raising children, because I wanted to know how people get made.
- I wear basically the same things every day, to spend zero decisions on things that don't matter. But I'm always careful about how I present myself: because of human psychology, how you present yourself matters a lot. It changes how people perceive you.
- I don't gossip; I find it unnecessary. I also notice that most people react dramatically to things I wouldn't even register as problems.
- I have an intense sense of urgency. My friends say I'm trying to catch the future. It shows in the way I walk: extremely fast.
- At nine I started a bracelet business and hired the kids at school who were struggling. I never told them why.
- I don't read tags, I read mechanisms: who actually decides, what gets measured, what happens when money is late.
- If there's a rule, I ask to see it. If there isn't one, I don't move with the crowd.
- I believe everything is in your control; it depends on how far you're willing to go.
- On 20 May 2026 I landed in Berlin with a one-way ticket, 500 euros, and a t-shirt with my CV printed on the back.
- I build small neuroscience simulations of how stress, rumination and reward feed into each other, and check every claim against the papers.
- The question I keep coming back to: everyone is born into the same system, most accept it, a few don't. Where does that difference live? (See Questions.)
